This is our '67 camaro pace car site.
|
We found the car about a year and a half ago down in San Juan Bautista.
We have been buggin the guy to sell it and he finally broke down. We got
the car on 4/24/99.

It is a 1967 camaro festival car. It is an rs/ss 350 with a powerglide and
10-bolt single drive. We have had it now for almost three weeks and we have
been able to get it running and have gotten the new top put on but are
having trouble finding a shop to rebuild the electric top motor. It has
gotten a new interior including: new custom bright blue door panels, new
seat covers front and rear, new molded carpet. In '67 the only cars that were
white with the bright blue interior were the pace cars. The console has been
repainted, we have gotten all the lights working. We got it running really
well right now but the future holds a HEI for it to try and get a good spark
to it. The motor is fully blue printed, balanced, and dynoed.

All the numbers match up and it is a real pace car not a wanna be. The only
problem is that it has the 350 in it and it is supposed to have a 396. However,
i have a fully blue printed, and balanced 396 that came out of a '69 camaro
that has all the matching numbers. It is an original 396/375 H.O. that is as
built as they get. I tried to get the 396 from the guy I bought it from but he
traded the motor for all the work on the 350 that is in the car now.
